You trust us with your words and your details. Here is everything you need to know, briefly.

What we collect

The text you write and its title if you add one, your name as you’d like it published, your email address, your mobile number, the interface language and the time you sent it. To protect the site from automated spam we also keep a one-way coded fingerprint of your connection address (never the address itself), your approximate country and your browser type.

Why we collect it

To read your contribution, to choose contributions for the second volume of “You Are the Writer”, and to contact you if yours is chosen. We never use your details for marketing, never sell them and never share them for any other purpose.

What gets published

Only the chosen text and your name as you wrote it, based on the consent you gave when sending. Your email address and mobile number are never published.

Who sees it, and where it is kept

Only the book team at the author and the publisher. The data is held by cloud providers (Cloudflare and Supabase) whose servers may be outside your country.

How long we keep it

We keep contributions while work on the second volume continues, then delete the contact details of those that were not chosen.

Cookies

We use a single cookie to remember your language. No tracking or advertising tools.
